Payments on Zoran Bet run through Ethiopian mobile-money and bank rails rather than international cards. The system splits a balance into three separate parts — a Play wallet, a Payable (withdrawable) balance and a Bonus balance — and deposits and withdrawals move through different channels with different limits.

How the Balance Is Split

An account carries three separate figures rather than one combined balance: a Play wallet for active play, a Payable balance holding withdrawable winnings, and a Bonus balance for promotional funds. Bonus money is spent first and can't be withdrawn directly, though anything won while using it can be.

Deposit Methods

The deposit screen lists Telebirr and CBE Birr as the available methods, both Ethiopian mobile-money and banking channels rather than international card processors. An amount field takes a minimum of 50 ETB, with quick-select buttons for 50, 100, 250, 500, 1,000 and 5,000 birr.

Zoran Bet's own "How to Play" guide describes the deposit process in outline: an amount is entered, payment is sent to an agent phone number provided on screen through Telebirr or M-Pesa, a screenshot of the payment confirmation is uploaded, and the balance is credited once that's verified. That's a manual, receipt-based flow rather than an automated card charge — common on mobile-money-first platforms across the region, though it does mean a deposit isn't instant in the way a card payment usually is.

Withdrawal Methods and Limits

Two withdrawal routes are available, switched with a toggle: "Bank & Wallet" and "Cash at Branch." Both carry the same stated limits — a minimum of 200 ETB and a maximum of 10,000 ETB per withdrawal.

MethodMinimumMaximumHow it pays out
Telebirr (deposit)50 ETB—Manual transfer to an agent number, verified from a receipt screenshot
CBE Birr (deposit)50 ETB—Same manual, receipt-based flow
Bank & Wallet (withdrawal)200 ETB10,000 ETBSent to a Telebirr account matching the name and phone number on file
Cash at Branch (withdrawal)200 ETB10,000 ETBA short code generated on screen, redeemed for cash at any branch cashier

The Bank & Wallet route pays out to a Telebirr account, and the withdrawal form asks for the full name on that Telebirr account — matched exactly against the name on file — plus the registered phone number. A note on the same screen states that wallet payouts always go to the phone number on the account, checked against the payment receipt.

Cash at Branch works differently: instead of a bank transfer, the request generates a short code that can be shown to any cashier at a branch location in exchange for cash, still within the same 200–10,000 ETB range.

Processing Times

The two sources describing processing times don't fully agree. The Bank & Wallet withdrawal screen itself carries a highlighted note stating that a withdrawal to Telebirr is "approved and paid instantly." Zoran Bet's separate "How to Play" guide describes withdrawals more cautiously, saying funds are sent to the registered payment method "within 1 hour after admin approval." Those two statements point to different things — one describes the transfer once approved, the other includes the approval step itself — but they're worth reading together rather than taking either alone as the full picture of how long a withdrawal actually takes.

Currency and Presentation

Every figure across deposits, withdrawals and the account wallets is shown in Ethiopian birr, written as ETB or with the Br symbol depending on the screen, never in a foreign currency or in cryptocurrency. That single-currency approach removes any conversion step from the deposit and withdrawal screens themselves — the amount entered is the amount that moves, without an exchange rate applied along the way.

Verification Before Withdrawal

Two checks are described on the withdrawal screen itself: the name entered has to match the name on the destination Telebirr account exactly, and the phone number is checked against the payment receipt on file. Neither of those is a one-time step completed at registration — they're checked again at the point of withdrawal.

Why Local Rails Instead of Cards

Relying on Telebirr and CBE Birr rather than international cards mirrors how most everyday payments already work in Ethiopia, where mobile money has become a default way to move funds. It also means both deposits and withdrawals stay inside a system most account holders are already using for other things, rather than one built specifically around cross-border card processing.

The 50 ETB deposit minimum and the 200–10,000 ETB withdrawal range both sit at levels aimed at everyday mobile-money amounts rather than at high-volume transfers — broadly in line with how Telebirr and CBE Birr are used for ordinary payments outside of betting as well, rather than a range built specifically around large single transactions.

Common Issues

  • A name on the withdrawal form that doesn't exactly match the name on the Telebirr account, which the account page's own wording suggests would fail verification.
  • A withdrawal amount below 200 ETB or above 10,000 ETB, both outside the stated limits on either method.
  • A deposit through Telebirr or CBE Birr where the payment confirmation screenshot doesn't clearly show the transaction, delaying the manual verification the "How to Play" guide describes.
  • Confusing the Bonus balance for withdrawable funds — bonus money is spent first and isn't itself withdrawable, even though winnings from it can be.

Funding an account is one step in getting to the Sport and Games sections; setting up the account itself is covered on the Login & Registration page.

Frequently asked questions

What payment methods does Zoran Bet support for Ethiopia?

Telebirr and CBE Birr for deposits; withdrawals go out through a Telebirr-linked Bank & Wallet option or a Cash at Branch code, rather than international cards.

What are the minimum and maximum amounts?

Deposits start at 50 ETB. Withdrawals — both Bank & Wallet and Cash at Branch — run from 200 ETB to 10,000 ETB per request.

How long does a withdrawal take?

The withdrawal screen itself states payouts to Telebirr are approved and paid instantly, while Zoran Bet's own How to Play guide describes funds arriving within 1 hour after admin approval. The two descriptions don't fully align.

What's checked before a withdrawal is approved?

The name on the withdrawal request has to match the name on the destination Telebirr account, and the registered phone number is checked against the payment receipt on file.

What's the difference between the Play, Payable and Bonus balances?

Play is the active wallet, Payable holds withdrawable winnings, and Bonus holds promotional funds that are spent first and can't be withdrawn directly — though winnings made using bonus funds can be.
